Stone is a natural material and may contain random variations in colour, texture and pattern. These variations are part of the innate beauty of stone as each piece is truly unique. The extensive selection of natural stone offered by Hiltz Marble & Granite originates from all over the world.

  • Use dish soap and water for everyday cleaning
  • Remove grease and oily products with routine daily clean-ups (if left on a surface over time it may soak in and stain)
  • Stone cleaners such as “Granquartz 3-in-1” or “Rock Doctor” are recommended for occasional cleaning and polishing
  • For quartz surfaces follow the stone brand manufacturer’s recommended maintenance
  • Ceramic items often have sharp points on bottom and may scratch or etch stone
  • Granite is scratch, heat and stain resistant and is excellent for use in kitchens
  • Marble is not heat and stain resistant and is best used as an accent in lower traffic areas
  • Small scratches and stains should be removed by a professional
  • Never stand on or walk on natural stone work surfaces as breakage can occur especially around joints and cut-out areas
